Suicide

If you are thinking about suicide or self-harm, there are a few resources that can help.

You can go to any Accident and Emergency Department and ask for the duty psychiatrist, though this is better in theory than practice. Or you can see your GP (who range from being completely useless to helpful).

You can talk to the Samaritans at any time of day or night by email to jo@samaritans.org, or by phone on 08457 909090 or (from September 2015) on the FREE number 116 123.

You can ring South London and Maudsley (SLaM) information service on 0800 731 2864 who can refer you to the correct service.
